Hi everyone!
So as you may or may not have noticed, we have a new look to our blog! (Thank Evie for that, I would have no idea how to do that.) We have decided, after our kind of long break from blogging, to start afresh and have a clean start. A lot of our blog posts will be deleted and we will try to update a lot more regularly than we have been doing lately. I hope you enjoy our new content that will be released very soon, and thank you for baring with the changes!

HOW TO : MAKE A SHARPIE MUG
A Sharpie mug, for those who don't know, is when you get a plain white mug and draw your own design on it so it becomes personalized. It sounds easy and it is mostly, but you have to do a few certain steps if you want it to stay on. They are a great and cheap way to customize a mug and you can use it as a present and fill it with sweets, for yourself or any other idea you may have. They should also be dishwasher safe.
You will need:
1. Buy or get yourself a plain white mug. It could be another colour so long as it is pale otherwise you won't be able to see your design very well.
2. Get yourself a black Sharpie or another marker pen (Sharpies work the best). Black is the most effective and will last on your mug rather than getting washed off; any colour is fine but is likely not to last forever.
3. Rub with rubbing alcohol all over the mug where you are going to draw on the mug. This will clean the mug and help it to stay. You can use nail polish remover as an alternative. Now would be a good time to start heating your oven up, too, so set it to 220 degrees Celsius or 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. Draw your design on the mug. If you go wrong, quickly rub it off with the rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover.
5. Put your mug into the oven and let it heat for 30 minutes. This will make sure that it stays and won't wash off. When it is done, take it out the oven and allow to cool.
You now have designed and made your own 'Sharpie mug'! Here are a couple of ideas that other people have made for inspiration:

If you do make these mugs, then I hope this tutorial has helped you. :)

SPINNING LIES : A SHORT STORY
Here is a short piece of fiction that I wrote because my friend told me to enter this competition but I missed the deadline and this is just to make up for it:
Life isn't fair - I've known that from the beginning. Over time that saying has been drilled into to me, every single time I complained I was greeted by the expression "life isn't fair; it's better you learned that now." So I accepted this as just a law of the universe but I didn't understand why it hated me so much they sent her as my best friend.
When I first met Amanda she was like an angel: she was pretty and popular and she chose me to be her friend. As we grew up she got new friends - people who tried to push me into the shadows but she always made sure I was by her side. However it turned out she wasn't an angel but instead Satan in it's true form; slowly she took everyone I loved away from me. So subtly that I honestly believed the reasons my friends hated me because done something wrong, so who was my shoulder to cry on? The devil herself. Naively I never suspected a thing... In my eyes Amanda was perfect and I was simply inadequate so I tried to make myself a clone: I dyed my hair brown, I bought clothes that made my figure look horrendous, forcing myself to listen to terrible music so when I learned that she'd started keeping a diary and immediately bought an identical copy and spilled my secrets onto the pages.
I spent so much time obsessing over Amanda I completely threw my school work out the window with my social life revolving around this girl. So understandably when I, at a sleepover, mistakenly picked up her diary instead of mine when she nipped to the toilet, ready to scribble down the gossip she'd just told me but instead I learnt what the Amanda the supposed angel really thought of me. Pages of her perfect handwriting told me the lies she'd spinned. Knowingly ruining my life for her own personal entertainment. Taking the last ten years of my life and screwing them up for a laugh. Is it any wonder I snapped?
Walking back into the room Amanda had looked at me strangely as if she knew the thoughts circulating around in my head - expecting a condescending comment I turned to face the mirror; reflected I saw a girl with a haircut that didn't suit her face with a tonne make-up shoveled on her face. My eyes held the difference. Instead of dull and uncomprehending they gleamed with something I'd never seen before. Bitterness? Trudging over to the stairs I didn't really understand what I'd done until I saw the outcome of my actions. Lying at the bottom of three flights of stairs was Amanda's bloody and bruised body. I'd tripped her and evidently she's hit every step on the way. Trying to find a pulse it became clear there wasn't one to find. Instead of calling an ambulance a twisted smile played on my lips. Finally I was free of her godforsaken spell.

NEUTRAL EYE LOOK
So, this is the first post in the beauty section. I hope you find it okay. I am by no means a beauty or make-up expert so bare with me. Also I am not a professional in taking pictures of make-up but I'm trying my best.
Make-up is something I enjoy using. It can make you a whole different person, yet I love it. I'll never smear my face in it I just enjoy playing around with it and with different looks and getting tutorial off of Youtube or the internet.
In this look I used :
- Natural Collection palette - I know that they don't sell this any more, my Aunt gave it to me because she didn't use it. On my entire eyelid I used the shade Cafe au lait (cream), the outer corner/crease I used Crushed Walnut (dark brown) and on the in corner (around my tear duct) I used Moonbeam (white). I think it will be easy to re-create using the Naked palette (which I want so bad) or the MUA palette in Undressed
- Next I used the Collection Eye Definer in Brown. I put it in the roots of my lower lashes not covering the whole of my water line and then covered my tight line in it. I find that your eyes stand out more if you put on minimum pencil eye liner rather than loads.
- The final step is mascara. I used the Maybelline the Falsies Volum' Express but while it was still wet I went over it in my Bobbi Brown Everything mascara to separate the lashes and so they don't look clumpy yet are still looking long. I do the same to my lower lashes
I hope you liked this little eye make-up tutorial and I hope that there will be more to come.

HOW TO : MAKE A MCDONALD'S STYLE FRAPPE
- What you'll need (for 2 servings):
- A blender
- 2 cups of ice
- 1/2 cup of milk (but if you like weaker coffee add another 1/4 in)
- 1/2 cup of strong coffee
- 2tbsp of sugar
- 2tbsp of caramel (I used specialised coffee caramel but to decorate it you may want to use squeeze caramel in a bottle
- 2 scoops of vanilla ice-cream
- Whipped cream (to decorate)
- Blend every together (it takes about 10 minutes in my blender but it's old and rubbish and I spilled coffee all over it and it may be broken) until it's really smooth. If you don't blend it enough you'll have a thick paste full of massive ice cubes so be careful.
- Serve in a tall glass and top with cream and caramel
- Note: You have to use full fat milk or the flavour isn't as strong
- Note: It won't taste exactly like McDonalds but this one has less calories in it
- Note: You don't have to use ice-cream however it makes it sweeter and I would advise the use of it
Enjoy
love Bronny
